Supporting state Unemployment Insurance (UI) agencies in our mission to prevent, detect and recover improper payments, prevent fraud and promote program integrity, the Integrity Knowledge Exchange provides a collaborative platform for states to easily retrieve and share widely applicable resources, state-specific resources and promising practices for all aspects of UI.

Combining three services in one, the Integrity Knowledge Exchange offers a digital library, a state practices portal and a team of Subject Matter Experts offering on-demand, in-person services to state UI agencies.

The Knowledge Exchange Library, a consolidated collection of UI integrity information, available in text, audio and video, is actively managed by the Integrity Center to ensure high-quality and continued relevance.

Here you will find:

  • Case studies, lessons learned and legacy stories
  • Collections on tax fraud, misclassification, laws and legislation and more
  • Straightforward search tools and librarian support
  • Capability to save resources to individual accounts and share via email

The Knowledge Exchange State Practices portal is an information exchange and virtual warehouse where states can explore ways to combat UI fraud, improve integrity and share their state’s successful practices.

Information that is submitted into the portal can be sorted by state, region, state size or vendor to allow states to easily find relevant information.

Resources include:

  • Prevention/detection
  • Workflow processes
  • Investigations
  • Overpayment determinations
  • Collections
  • Prosecution
  • Appeals

Knowledge Exchange Services provides UI Subject Matter Experts from across the country to directly assist your state, virtually or in-person, at no charge. Serving as state liaisons to provide on-demand support, our Subject Matter Experts assist in:

  • Working with your staff to identify UI integrity issues within your organization
  • Providing recommendations and plans of action that have been proven successful in other states to address processes and concerns
  • Evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of action plans on an ongoing basis
