The State Portfolio Database (SPD) is an information exchange application where states can explore ways to combat fraud and improve integrity, and share their own state’s approaches to these issues. As a storehouse for specific state policies, tools, and procedures, the SPD is a resource for states’ successful practices.
The first phase of the SPD focuses on benefit payment control (BPC), with a compilation of state tools and practices in the seven functional areas of prevention/detection sources, workflow, investigations, overpayment determinations, collections, prosecution, and appeals. States can use the application to sort by state, region, state size, and vendor.
The SPD also will include a model integrity operational blueprint feature, which will bring together trade and business information with the recommendations of UI Integrity Subject Matter Experts to help states with ideas for improvements to their BPC operations.
The UI Integrity Center plans to launch the SPD later in 2017.
